Mayte Cubino joined Cisco Systems in 2006 and currently manages a team of 20+ Customer Support Engineers in Technical Services based in Brussels (Belgium). Prior to this, Mayte held several roles such as Talent lead for the Global Technical Center organisation covering EMEAR region and focused on talent strategy, acquisition, development and retention; Project Manager at global and regional level such as the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games; Business Operations manager and Customer Support Engineer specialized in Core Architecture technologies.

Her passion for people and technology has driven Mayte to lead many

initiatives as Inclusion & Diversity ambassador, promoting STEM among

young girls and empowering women in technical careers. She is the founder of the Women in Networking (WiN) group, and co-lead of several Employee Resource Organizations in EMEAR such as Women in Science and Engineering and Conexion (Latino and Hispanic community). Mayte is the author of the Hidden Disabilities Awareness Campaign, aimed at proposing reasonable accommodations for a more inclusive and collaborative workplace, and very active in giving back and gender equality activities, career fairs and assessment centers. She has been awarded with the Leadership Excellence Award from the Office of Inclusion and Collaboration, the Cisco Services Excellence award for the Hidden Disabilities awareness campaign and three Pinnacle awards from the Technical Services organization, all of them at Cisco.

Mayte holds a Bachelor and a Master degrees in Engineering from La Salle University in Barcelona and a Master in Project Management from the George Washington University, a CCIE in Routing and Switching and the PMP certification.
