John Chandler

John is a Systems Engineer for Cisco specialising in cloud-based Cisco Meraki hardware.

After graduating from U.W.E. in Bristol, John initially cut his teeth 12 years ago as a database and application developer for CRM customers, ranging from Investec in the finance arena, right through to Softcat in the IT infrastructure procurement field.

After incorporating a year long “working career break” in India; British Telecom was his next step, where he became an IT manager for BT’s e-commerce specialists, BT Fresca, managing the online infrastructure for Coca-Cola, Karen Millen, and WH Smiths, amongst others.

After integrating Cisco Meraki equipment into the infrastructure at BT, John moved over to Cisco as a Technical Evangelist, and nowadays, as a Systems Engineer helping potential new customers realise the benefits of cloud managed networks. Whether it’s cost saving, or being able to manage hundreds of networks with a reduced IT team from a single location.

John is passionate about the current and future possibilities that cloud managed technologies can provide.
