James Mobley, vice president/general manager, leads the Global Product Management team for the Customer Experience (CX) organization. His team develops a world-class services portfolio to further accelerate customers’ success and deliver the best customer experience in the industry.In his previous role, Mr. Mobley was vice president of Security, Collaboration, and Internet of Things (IoT) Services. His team focused on growth, while working closely with Cisco clients to design and implement the strategies required to achieve their digital transformation goals.
Mr. Mobley joined Cisco in January 2015, following the acquisition of Neohapsis, Inc., where he served as President and CEO. Neohapsis was a leading cybersecurity consultancy providing mobile, cloud, risk, and compliance services to many of the world’s largest enterprises. Prior to Neohapsis, he was Symantec’s Vice President of Professional Services in the Americas, and a key catalyst for Symantec’s evolution as a viable player in enterprise security consulting. Mr. Mobley also served as the President and CEO of @stake, Inc., a leading cybersecurity consulting and products company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His leadership, along with a superb group of security experts, drove @stake‘s success as a global leader in the cybersecurity industry, moving from startup to market leader in less than five years.
Mr. Mobley’s career began at some of the industry’s largest technology companies, spending a combined 17 years at IBM, Digital Equipment Corporation (HP), and Compaq Computer Corporation (HP), where he held VP and GM roles leading sales, network, and integration services businesses.
Currently, he serves as an advisor and mentor to a number of early stage CEOs and COOs in the cybersecurity and compliance industries. He is also passionate about inclusion and diversity issues, mentoring professionals throughout his career. Mr. Mobley is a graduate of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
