Gene Hall is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Strategy, Incubations and Applications business. Leading a global team, he is responsible for the end-to-end marketing and communications strategy and results driving some of Cisco's newest and fastest moving businesses. Gene began his career at Cisco with a role in IT, and is now an influential leader with domain expertise in routing, switching, services, security, devops, opensource, infrastructure as code and observability.
Gene holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University. When not engaging with customers or telling stories of innovation, you can find him locked in a competitive battle on the tennis court or spending time in the mountains with his wife and two sons.
