Emma Reid is an experienced marketing manager in CSR with 30 years’ private sector experience, including more than 20 years based in Asia.
Emma is currently the global marketing manager for the Cisco Networking Academy.
Prior to taking on the global manager’s role, Emma was the Asia Pacific and Japan Marketing Manager for the Networking Academy operating in 28 countries across the region. Emma leads the Networking Academy marketing strategy, designing and implementing innovative marketing programs that help address the impacts of digital disruption. This includes initiatives focused on youth education & employment; gender inclusion & women’s empowerment and fostering entrepreneurship.
Emma has been a long-term advocate and champion for gender equality in the workplace, leading women empowerment groups including Women at Cisco. Emma has implemented programs to increase the pipeline of females in the technology industry through programs such as Women Rock-IT and the Women of Influence series. Emma also created the inaugural Women in IT Awards at Cisco Live Melbourne in March 2019, which included the Academia Award, dedicated to Networking Academy instructors.
Emma is passionate about helping the corporate sector evolve CSR marketing efforts towards a corporate shared value approach and assist the non-profit sector effectively engage and partner with the private sector.
