Emerson is a Distinguished Architect at Cisco based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Having spent over 20 years working with a variety of Service Providers from all over the world, his background is in end-to-end network architectures primarily looking at routing and transport networks and related management and automation software stacks. He currently works with Cisco’s SP CTO office and in his current role leads Routed Optical Networking solution designs and industry positioning. Emerson has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, holds a CCIE-SP certification and is an active contributor to MEF Forum where he is a Co-chair for Latin America and Caribbean region. Emerson is a veteran Cisco Live speaker and has also been recognized as a Distinguished Speaker.
