Based in Central Maryland, I bring more than 25 years of technology experience to a career focused on solving complex challenges through innovation, engineering, and leadership. For the past 14 years, I have held engineering and management roles at Cisco, building on a broad technical foundation developed across Enterprise and Service Provider environments in both the public and private sectors. My career began in telecommunications with Bell Atlantic, where I developed a strong foundation in networking and communications technologies. That experience led me to a first-tier ISP, where I deepened my expertise in IP routing and Internet infrastructure—an area that has remained a core passion throughout my career. I’m passionate about helping organizations navigate complex technology challenges by connecting technical strategy with real-world business outcomes. Through these blogs, I share insights and perspectives drawn from decades of experience in networking, infrastructure, leadership, and emerging technologies. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying active through outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, fishing, trail running, hiking, and skiing. I also have a passion for woodworking, particularly creating furniture from lumber reclaimed from urban and suburban environments. There’s something especially rewarding about transforming material once destined for the landfill into handcrafted pieces designed to last for generations.
