Duane DeCapite



Duane is Director of OpenStack Product Management at Cisco. Duane has previously held product manager positions at Cisco in areas including virtualization, security, content networking and storage area networking. Duane has also held software engineering positions at both Cisco and IBM.

Duane authored Self-Defending Networks: the Next Generation of Network Security with Cisco Press and represented Cisco in the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee to the President (NSTAC). Duane has also been a featured speaker at key industry events including Cisco Live, Red Hat Summit, OpenStack Summit, SUSECon and Citrix Synergy.

Duane holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a BS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and has completed coursework towards a MS in Engineering at Stanford University.
