As Vice President, Security Engineering at Cisco, Disha leads the Security Engineering organization, driving strategic development and execution of product and cloud security initiatives that empower secure software development across Cisco. With a deep commitment to integrating security into every phase of the software lifecycle, Disha drives innovation in cloud-native security architectures, secure coding practices, and automated security tooling to ensure robust protection of applications and data.
Disha is an established technical thought leader with deep expertise in cybersecurity, cloud technologies, software engineering and driving large scale software security programs. Disha is a champion of the shift left and secure by default approach and has successfully standardized the security stack of services for cloud security monitoring and security policy governance via cloud guardrails at Cisco. Her vision is to enable developers and engineers with the tools and processes needed to build resilient, compliant, and secure software that meets evolving business and regulatory demands
Before joining Cisco, Disha led the cloud security function at Adobe, where she bootstrapped a unique security program focused on securing the public cloud using security engineering principles and paved path approaches.
Disha has been deeply involved in securing software products since the beginning of her career. She started off on the product security team for a document rendering application that was an active target for adversaries. Disha implemented novel application security approaches to drive active risk mitigation and decreased adversary interest for the application.
Disha holds a Bachelor in Technology degree in Electronics and Communication and an MBA in Marketing and Finance.
