Craig Sable

Director of echocardiography

Craig Sable, MD, is director of echocardiography and pediatric cardiology fellowship training and medical director of telemedicine at Children’s National Health System in Washington, DC.  He is a Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Sable is board certified in pediatric cardiology and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He chairs several national committees for the American Heart Association and American Board of Pediatrics. He has published several manuscripts and given numerous presentations on pediatric cardiology.

Dr. Sable graduated from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine and completed pediatric residency and cardiology fellowship training at Children’s National. Dr. Sable has led eight medical missions to Uganda. His work has resulted in over 150 children receiving life saving treatment and he has helped transform the cardiology program at the Uganda Heart Institute at Mulago Hospital so that open heart surgery can now be safely performed in Uganda.
