Customer Experience (CX)
I notice the little things most people walk past — and somehow, that’s where I find the most joy.
Hey, I’m Charu — a Consulting Engineer Trainee at Cisco.
Before Cisco, I was a freelance STEM trainer, teaching robotics to school kids. I loved breaking down complicated ideas into simple ones, especially when I could see their eyes light up as everything finally clicked.
I’m still figuring out what I’m good at. Still discovering what I like, what I don’t, and where I want to go. And honestly, I think that’s okay. Cisco has given me the chance to try different things, meet different people, and learn a little more about myself along the way.
I love reading, mostly because I like seeing how someone else sees the world. I talk to people because I’m fascinated by their stories. And when I have too much going on in my head and if i don't know how to express it,
I paint. It helps me slow down, clear my mind, and regain my inner-child happiness.
Maybe that’s why I like little moments so much. I can stop to look at the flower taking an unexpected shape, clouds changing by the minute or just sit outside and gaze at the moon and stars. In a world that is always moving, I like having moments where I don't have to.
I’ve always wanted to give back in some way, but I didn’t always know where to start. The volunteering experiences I’ve had here have become something really meaningful to me — something I know I’ll carry with me even beyond my career. Someday, I’d love to become a good public speaker, learn to be a thoughtful leader, and hopefully a philanthropist too.
For now, I’m staying curious, listening to people, and enjoying the process of figuring it all out.
