Chris is a senior analyst in Omdia’s service provider transformation team, where he aids clients in making strategic decisions through high-quality reports and trackers. Chris covers a range of service provider operations & IT topics, including BSS, converged charging, future billing, partner ecosystem management, operator cloud strategies, and edge monetization systems. Chris joined Omdia in June 2020 as a research analyst in the carrier network software service, where he covered NFV, carrier SDN, uCPE, cloud-native evolution, core network, and edge computing software. Before that, Chris was part of Informa Tech’s conference division, where he worked on the NFV/SDN and broadband series of events since 2018. He was seconded to Omdia as a research analyst between October 2019 and February 2020, where he produced reports and insights on NFV adoption, the evolving vendor ecosystem, and how telco virtualization supports more advanced applications such as AI.  Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in ancient history from Durham University, is a tenor horn in his local brass band, and hosts occasional office pub quizzes.
