Paulo Cabido joined ThousandEyes in 2012 as its first engineering operations hire, when the company was in stealth mode with a team of eight and no shipped product. He built the initial infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling from the ground up. Over the next decade, Paulo progressed through critical engineering and leadership roles—from Founding Infrastructure Engineer to DevOps Manager, Director, and Senior Director—scaling the SRE organization from a single engineer to a global team of more than 100 across San Francisco, Austin, Lisbon, London, and Bengaluru. Before ThousandEyes, Paulo honed his expertise in systems and network engineering and software development at the University of Évora in Portugal, where he managed HPC clusters, network infrastructure, and contributed to open-source projects.
