Bernard Mack joined Cisco in 2012 as a Security Analyst for the IntelliShield team, part of Cisco Security Intelligence Operations. Bernard contributes to the IntelliShield team by performing research and analysis from various sources to provide vulnerability and threat alerts to Cisco’s internal and external customers.
Prior to joining Cisco, Bernard worked on many different programs providing system administration support for the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is also an Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne Division out of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.
Bernard graduated from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems and expecting to obtain his Master’s Degree at Devry’s Keller Graduate School of Management focusing on Network and Communications Management with a specialization in Information Security with a completing date in October 2013. Bernard holds technical certifications from Microsoft and Cisco, and also holds CompTIA IT certifications such as A+, Network+, and Security+.
Bernard is married with two kids, and enjoys spending valuable time with his family and friends and watching sports.
