Baturay Saglam is a PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Yale University, where his research focuses on large language models and reinforcement learning, with an emphasis on AI safety, alignment, and interpretability. He has conducted research internships at Google Research and industry startups, bridging theory and real-world deployment of machine learning systems. Outside of research, he swims regularly and is an advanced weight lifter.
