Alex has over 21 years of information security experience. He is currently a Technical Marketing Engineer with the Cisco Security Business Group, focusing on the Secure Firewall (formerly Firepower). Before this, he worked in the Cisco Customer Experience (CX) organization assisting enterprise customers with their firewall deployments and operations. Alex came to Cisco through the Sourcefire acquisition in 2013, where he was a Senior Security Instructor and Professional Services Consultant. Alex has written several books, including "Essential Firepower" a best practice guide for the Cisco Secure Firewall. He has also been recognized as a Distinguished Speaker at Cisco Live events. Alex is a CISSP (#82090) and also holds several SANS GIAC certifications.
