Anis Edavalath is a Principal Architect within the Customer Experience (CX) organization at Cisco Systems, where he provides architectural guidance to large enterprise customers across multiple industry verticals including Healthcare, Hospitality & entertainment, Finance, Mass transportation and Hyperscalers. His work focuses on enterprise campus and data center transformation initiatives, including network modernization, fabric design, security & segmentation strategies, and automation-driven operational models. Prior to joining the CX organization, Anis was part of several core engineering teams at Cisco, contributing to platform and feature development across multiple switching portfolios. His work includes enhancements and feature integration on the Cisco Catalyst 6500 platform, Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) implementation on the Cisco Nexus 5000, and VXLAN-based overlay network implementation on the Cisco Nexus 9000 series. His expertise spans Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols, data center fabric architectures, overlay technologies, control-plane design, and high-availability mechanisms. As a Lead Architect supporting telecom service providers, Anis led cross-functional initiatives to design and develop migration frameworks for firewall platform transitions across multi-vendor environments. These efforts included policy translation, configuration normalization, risk mitigation strategies, and automation tooling to ensure minimal downtime and operational continuity.
