Over the last year, Cisco has continued on our intent-based networking journey, making sure that we addressed our customers’ business outcomes and use cases for the entire wired and wireless access networking. No matter the new products, from our switches to access points, to controllers to software, and from on-prem to cloud managed, we worked diligently to introduce solutions that were secure, resilient and intelligent. I believe this holistic focus has resulted in Cisco positioned as a Leader by Gartner in its just-released 2019 Magic Quadrant for the Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure:

Magic Quadrant for the Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure

All of Cisco’s products share the same strong resiliency, security and intelligence making the Cisco network the answer to changes and complexity of managing the modern network. Cisco’s portfolio is made up of products that allow our customers to have strongest security, lightning-quick automation and incredibly detailed analytics. In turn, these attributes provide a cutting-edge network ready for the next generation of mobile and IoT devices. Over the last year, new releases in both the wireless and wired spaces have augmented our already broad family of products, all running the IOS XE operating system.

Thanks to these new innovations and releases, and along with the continued maturation and adoption of Cisco DNA Center, I feel that industry experts are recognizing the progress made to make deploying and running a Cisco network an easier proposition. I believe this is one of the reasons why Cisco has been positioned a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the Wired and the Wireless LAN Access infrastructure. Cisco achieved the highest position for ability to execute.

While we think our position in the Leaders quadrant is indeed impressive, I would encourage everyone to look at the write up Gartner provided on Cisco’s strengths and cautions. To me, that’s the real difference maker.

With the robustness of Cisco’s product lines, we have been able to offer solutions that will align to business and technical requests of our customer base. Rarely do the needs of one customer completely match the other, so there is never a one-size-fits-all solution. Therefore, whatever the problem, Cisco can provide the answer.
