NAB Show Day 1 Recap: From Ice Cream to IP

April 9, 2018 - 0 Comments

This year at NAB Show, one of the coolest things – quite literally – on the Cisco stand is our ice cream roller. You can see how the ice cream is transformed from a liquid into rolls of vanilla loveliness in front of your eyes, and then you get to try it for yourself.

But what’s this got to do with Media? Well, I could tell you how this is representative of the transformation the industry is going through at the moment. And I could draw out the analogy further by explaining how the toppings represent the kinds of services that you can implement on the common ice cream infrastructure.

Every customer gets an ice cream relevant to their own tastes but delivered at the speed of an off the shelf desert. But maybe that’s taking the analogy a bit too far.

What we’re actually able to show with our ice cream making is how we can deliver high quality, low latency video services from the cloud as part of our Media Blueprint, and how we are industrialising the media production ecosystem.

So come see us at stand SU8502CM to find out how we can help you transform your media business, and we’ll even throw in some ice cream – with all the toppings that you want!
