Across the globe, we’re seeing the Public Sector amid a historical transition. In most countries, digital technologies are disrupting how agencies deliver services, interact with citizens, and collaborate. In my work with Public Sector customers, I’ve seen the accelerated adoption of technologies such as hybrid cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence, to name a few.

At the same time, however, the Public Sector continues to suffer from cyberattacks. Recent attacks we’re seeing in both the Public and Private sectors highlight the vulnerabilities in modern network infrastructures and the continuous advancements made by cybercriminals who innovate to better exploit any gaps.

Recently, I participated in a panel discussion as part of our ongoing #SecureGovernment series. Joined by Wendy Ng, Head of Cybersecurity Sales in Cisco Singapore, we were hosted by Andy Lee, the Managing Director of Cisco Singapore and Brunei. In the first of a two-part discussion, we shared our experiences working with customers on securing their cyber infrastructure and mitigating threats. We dove into the importance of strengthening the Public Sector’s cybersecurity posture to protect precious assets, data, and employees in this new threat landscape. In addition, we shared how frameworks such as SASE and Zero Trust Technology can help the Public Sector can secure its digital transformation agenda.
