It’s no secret I’m getting anxious for Cisco Live this year. Keynotes will be breathtaking; learning sessions will have you leaving the event smarter and more capable; the customer appreciation event is going to Rock!… But to be honest, what I am most excited about is the DevNet Zone.  Here’s why:

Hands-on Demos

We will be featuring 5 unique demo stations where you can:

  • program a robot arm to compete in a heated skee-ball type contest
  • race robot cars as part of our Dev Dash
  • explore all of our latest sandboxes,
  • share your epic development journey at the interactive UX station
  • participate in demos from our developer friends at Meraki, Webex, and more

Hello World Community Space

Bring your discoveries, problems, and questions. In the DevNet Zone you can collaborate in person with session speakers, developer advocates, and other experts. Whether you want to whiteboard up a storm, share laptop screens or just chat it out; this is your place to connect and dive into your technical questions/challenges.

DevNet Zone “Takeovers”

We call them Takeovers but really they are more like pizza parties. Each day we host  a different Cisco team in the DevNet Zone so you can see the cool things they are doing for and with developers. Each DevNet Zone takeover features a technical demo, focused sessions, and learning opportunities plus a unique daily happy hour complete with nibbles and ice cold drinks. Make sure you visit every day of this year’s DevNet Zone “takeover” line up:

  • Monday for Meraki
  • Tuesday for SecureX
  • Wednesday for Webex
  • Thursday Cisco Nexus Cloud

And… more!

There’s so much more I could tell you about the DevNet Zone this year, but some details you will just have to see for yourself… in person! Get it on your schedule to stop by and check out the actual F1 RaceCar, our Media Zone, the Caffeination station, and be there for a few surprises we have planned.
