Webex: Here Then…Here Now

Almost overnight, the way we work changed. Starting mid-March, we moved from office-first to working from home full-time, and we saw the usage of collaboration tools explode. When the world needed it, Webex was there to keep work flowing. Since February, we saw a 3x growth in Webex usage. In the month of April, we hosted 500M meeting participants, with a total of 35B meeting minutes… clearly, when the world needs to work, the world works on Webex.

Webex has always been there, actually. Especially now, it’s been there for employees to work, doctors to consult, police to protect, governments to serve, media to report, and teachers to inspire. It’s one thing for me to tell you about the power of Webex. It’s another when our customers share how it has helped them keep working, keep teaching, and keep helping during a pandemic.

Webex already powers the way we work today, but it will also help us define the future of work. We have been slowly transitioning to new ways of working for years; but those efforts were accelerated this year, and are now a top priority for businesses as they plan their next steps. How we bring employees back into an office requires thoughtful planning, and consideration not only of social distancing but balancing between in-office and remote work.
