Umberto Malesci

Umberto Malesci is a director in Cisco IoT Business Unit. Umberto joined Cisco through Cisco’s acquisition of Fluidmesh Networks in June 2020. At Fluidmesh, Umberto was the CEO and one of the company founders. Umberto founded Fluidmesh together with his brother and two friends while he was a graduate student at MIT in 2005. Umberto holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Umberto Malesci authored multiple academic publications in the field of wireless networking and is co-inventor in seven international patents and patent applications. Umberto Malesci is a passionate aviator and sailor and the proud father of two boys.
