Janell Tennyson

Janell is the E-Rate Lead for Cisco’s Public Funding Team and is an experienced grant writer with over 13 years working in the telecommunications industry. In her current role, she is responsible for overseeing the entire E-Rate process, educating the field, partners, and customers to better understand and effectively utilize and maintain compliance with E-Rate rules and regulations. Prior to joining Cisco, Janell assisted with local consultants and schools and school districts throughout the state of Arizona. She has also worked as the E-Rate and Rural Health Care Specialist at Cable One, a broadband communications provider, supporting 21 states within the commercial division. Janell is an Arizona native and earned her bachelor’s degree in Business from Arizona State University. She enjoys learning and exploring new ways to give back to her community. Janell is very active in local youth organizations and volunteering at community event. Janell lives with her husband of 30 years, a foundation repair contractor, and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys attending ASU and Arizona Cardinals football games, working out and Yoga.
