Joe Beel

Business Development Manager

Joe Beel is a Business Development Manager for Cisco’s Strategic Programs Office. He is currently working on developing defense solutions for mission systems, simulation and training, smart and connected bases and network integration across the Department of Defense.

Joe retired from the Navy as a captain where he served as a helicopter pilot, flying from frigates and cruisers, and as an acquisition professional. He commanded acquisition organizations within both the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR).

Joe holds a MS (with distinction) in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy. He served as a Federal Executive Fellow at the Rand Corporation where he performed analysis focused on the use of technology to improve mission effectiveness and reduce manning.
