Jeff Reed

SVP/GM of Cloud and Network Security

Security Business Group

Jeff Reed is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco’s Cloud and Network Security product organization for Cisco’s Security Business. In this role Reed oversees product management, engineering, technical marketing, business development and strategy for cloud and on-premise-based firewall, secure web gateway and workload protection products. Via a SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) infrastructure, the Cloud and Network Security portfolio will enable every end user to access applications and data securely, with a great user experience, from anywhere.

Previously, Reed was SVP of Product for Cisco’s Security Business, managing the industry’s leading and broadest security portfolio. In this role he focused on delivering Cisco SecureX, a cloud native platform designed to integrate the security portfolio, along with third-party products, addressing the issue of complexity - the number one concern of Security Operations Centers (SOCs) everywhere.

Prior to that, Reed was SVP of Cisco’s Enterprise Infrastructure and Solutions Group (EISG), encompassing a $16B networking product portfolio, where his focus was on delivering Cisco’s Digital Network Architecture (DNA). Prior to that, Reed had responsibility for the company’s SDN solutions and architectures for enterprise customers. Additionally, he was General Manager for Cisco’s largest switching business unit, the Unified Access Group.

Before joining Cisco in 2010, Reed held a number of senior positions in large-scale enterprise software businesses, covering storage product development, alliances, and business development. He also served as president and cofounder of an e-commerce start-up venture.

Reed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering (with distinction) and a master’s degree in business administration, both from Stanford University.
