Ian works as a Principal Engineer in the OpenStack group of Cisco and is a specialist in clouds and applications for Network Function Virtualisation.

Prior to joining Cisco and working with networks, Ian's career led him to work on software for cars, trucks, motorcycles, forklifts and potatoes. Most of these require highly reliable systems in the face of faults and failures. Potatoes, not so much.
