Murtaza Doctor

Murtaza leads global engineering and operations at ThousandEyes. He brings 20 years of engineering leadership, software development and innovation experience across startups and hyper-scale giants. He has built products ground-up in personalization, advertising, e-commerce, pricing, and defense domains. Before the current role, he was the site lead for AWS DynamoDB in Palo Alto where he led multiple teams focused on Edge Engineering, API Management, Global Tables (Cross Region Replication) and Developer Experience for DynamoDB. Before moving to Bay Area, he worked at PROS based in Houston which filed IPO in 2007, where he built pricing & deal management software. He served as adjunct faculty at the University of Houston Clear Lake, where he taught undergraduate courses in Computer Science and mentored over 30 masters level projects. Murtaza earned his degree at the University of Mumbai in Computer Engineering and continued his education at the University Houston in Computer Science, Distributed Systems, graduating top of his class.
