Ashutosh Malegaonkar has been in Cisco from January 1999. He has an avid passion for innovation and anything that can make life simpler. He is currently the engineering lead on the CTAO team. Here he drives several initiatives in the area related to IoT, Cisco developer Program (DevNet) and innovation frameworks. Prior to this role he help a leading role in defining and executing innovation frameworks within the Engineering. Previously he served as the overall System Architect for a group called Media Experience and Analytics (MXA) within the CCTG. There he oversaw the Product and Solution architecture of a very innovative solution called Capture-Transform-Share. The solution included “Recording” media using the Telepresence Content Server (Cisco TCS), “Transforming and Analyzing” the recorded content using the Cisco MXE3500/Pulse and makes it available in the Cisco Show-N-Share, an Enterprise video portal. Prior to CCTG, he was the founding member of an incubation team called Network Search Business Unit (NSBU) within the Emerging Technologies Group. Here he has worked on some very innovative technologies like Network traffic mining and build some cool applications using the same. He also went to start a Speech group for audio mining keywords and speakers. Within Cisco he has worked in various groups, positions and technologies. Technologies include Router Platform Software, VOIP hardware, control–data plane, and Video Surveillance. Ashutosh holds a BS in Computer Engineering. He has 6 approved patents and several others filed in the networking and collaboration areas. Finally, Ashutosh loves to give to the community by using his technology knowhow.
