John Hernandez is General Manager of the Customer Contact Business Unit (CCBU), which provides contact center and interactive voice applications to enterprises and service providers. In this capacity he oversees product and market development, and is closely involved in the business with the Cisco sales force and partners.
Previously, Mr. Hernandez served as Senior Director of UC Business Development, where he was responsible for the company’s Unified Communications “Go to Market” strategy. This includes interlock with Cisco organizations responsible for taking Unified Communications to market on a world-wide basis.
Before joining Cisco in December 2002, Mr. Hernandez held a variety of management positions at Genesys Telecommunications and Nortel Networks’ e-Business unit.
Mr. Hernandez served as Senior Director of Mid-Market Programs and Director of Worldwide Channel Marketing during his tenure at Genesys Telecommunications, responsible for managing the rollout of contact center solutions and programs.
At Nortel Networks Mr. Hernandez was Senior Manager, responsible for both Product Management and Product Marketing for Nortel’s advanced call center product line.
