Every year, Veterans Day falls on November 11th – Armistice Day. Armistice Day marks the end of the first world war but now serves to honor all service men and women from many countries around the world.

Cisco is proud to connect with, support and hire veterans. Our Veterans Program taps into our culture of service by providing training, mentoring and support to transitioning service members, veterans and military families. Cisco is proving amazing things can happen when you build an inclusive future for all.

Today is Veterans Day, also known as Armistice Day around the globe, we recognize, in a substantial way, those who have demonstrated sacrifice and commitment through their service. This is a time to celebrate and honor all of those who have served in the United States and many other country’s armed forces. This is a day of thanks. A day to thank our veterans for their courage, their tireless efforts, their fierce determination and their loyal service. Many chose to leave their hometowns, leave their families and leave behind the comforts of life for a higher calling. Many have traveled far away to protect our freedoms, stand with our allies and many have gone to war for our country and for us.

Cisco is building an inclusive future for all. Whether championing wellbeing in the workplace, mentoring transitioning service members, or remembering the fallen and helping their families left behind, our Veterans embody our values and we thank them for their past and continued service.

Cisco is committed to honoring all who serve

Through their service, these brave men and women developed many invaluable skills that they are using to building thriving, resilient communities. The same attributes that make Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen successful in service, make them excellent community leaders and exceptional employees. Many in the private sector greatly value the work ethic and mind-set that our veterans bring to the workplace: they are mission-focused, they are leaders, they know how to collaborate, and they get the job done. Opportunities

for veterans in technology careers is greater than ever before and we want to ensure that we do our part to give back to those who have served.  Cisco values the skills these service members bring to our workforce.  With the growing demand in IT and cyber skills, we want to encourage veterans to seek a path to a career in technology.

Military Friendly at every level

Cisco has consistently distinguished itself as a “Great Place to Work.” In 2020, Cisco has been recognized as one of the top companies to work for by many different publications:
