Change is good. After a successful run of four years in Boston, Red Hat Summit moves to San Francisco this year from April 14-17. Red Hat Summit has become one of the premier open source events for the enterprise IT industry with tracks for both developers and business executives.

Red Hat Summit 2014

Cisco is again a Platinum Sponsor and our presence at the event continues to grow. We have a keynote, six breakout speaking sessions and five demos.  We’ll have product and solution experts available to share our latest developments with Cisco UCS, OpenStack, virtual networking, and Big Data.

The highlight of the event will be the Cisco keynote given by Padmasree Warrior, Chief Technology & Strategy Officer at Cisco on Tuesday, April 15th at 8:30 AM PT (you can live stream this session by registering here: http://www.redhat.com/summit/). Padma has been widely recognized for her visionary leadership and is charged with aligning technology development and corporate strategy for Cisco.  Arrive early – I am anticipating a full house for this presentation.

As I mentioned earlier, we will have six breakout speaking sessions that highlight our interoperability and commitment to open source cloud technologies. We have three sessions on Tuesday, two on Wednesday, and one on Thursday. The schedule for our breakout sessions is below:

Each day there will also be opportunities to win some very cool prizes.

I also urge you to read this recent blog by Ken Owens that highlights Cisco’s commitment to OpenStack and open source projects. Please see the bookshelf below for more information on Cisco’s OpenStack solutions.  I hope to see you in San Francisco.
