Tony Carrella is the Co-Founder and President of Energybox. As a charismatic leader with entrepreneurial passion, and nearly 20 years of experience, Tony is integral in shaping the company’s innovative market development, and growth strategies, while executing the overall vision for Energybox. Tony’s ability to fuel organizations with the commitment and creativity required for shifting market paradigms, driving growth, and developing new and emerging markets, are among his defining characteristics. Previously, Tony was President and CEO of Traxon Technologies, North America where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the North American operations including, sales, finance, research & development, and carrying out the absolute vision of the company. Tony was instrumental in the company’s dramatic, successful shift from an LED products company to a respected architectural LED systems and solutions company, which achieved unprecedented expansion with 22 offices and over 4,000 installations worldwide, a transition that ultimately led to a joint venture with lighting industry giant OSRAM, in 2009. Carrella’s ability to maintain the company’s flexible and agile pace while harnessing the power and resources of its partner Osram enabled Traxon to sustain impressive growth and mobility. Along with his day to day role, Tony, was one of the key drivers, in many of Traxon’s most prestigious projects, such as Baku Flame Towers; Azerbaijan, Cirque du Soleil, MetLife Stadium, New Years Eve Ball at Times Square, Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi, City Center in Las Vegas, and The Shanghai Tower. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Tony holds a degree in Business Administration from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He currently resides in Randolph, New Jersey with his family—his wife and three children.
