Marcelo Santiago Maciel is an accomplished marketer and the Global Program Marketing Manager for Cisco Networking Academy. He leads globally impactful initiatives such as Girls in ICT Day and Women Rock-IT, programs that have inspired and empowered millions of students worldwide. Recently, Marcelo spearheaded the launch of Find Yourself in the Future, a program designed to help learners plan and prepare for their career journeys. Through virtual broadcasts, the program connects learners with tech talks on the latest technology trends, delivered by Cisco experts across various industries. Marcelo holds a Master's degree in International Management from Sorbonne University, alongside a diverse portfolio of specializations ranging from Graphic Design to Cybersecurity, earned from top-tier institutions such as Cornell University, CalArts, and Harvard. He also serves as the Honorary Chair of Sorbonne International, demonstrating his commitment to education and leadership. Finally, in alignment with Cisco's mission to foster an inclusive future for all, Marcelo is the Co-Lead of Cisco Pride for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Under his leadership, the organization expanded into two new countries and strengthened partnerships with significant LGBTQ+ events, including the Paris Olympic Games, Pride in London, and the International LGBTQ+ Film Festival in Milan (MiX), to name a few.
