Donyel leads the Mass Scale Infrastructure Group Campaign and Product Marketing Team covering launches, events, marketing programs, and campaigns. Donyel returns back to Cisco after six years in a variety of roles at Juniper Networks where he most recently held the position of Senior Director of Product Marketing, running the product marketing strategy, execution, and growth plans for Juniper’s full portfolio, including metro edge & core routing, silicon photonics, SP security, on and off box automation, & analytics. Donyel has 20 years of experience across technologies in networking, software engineering, technical marketing engineering, product management, and product marketing management. Prior to Juniper, Donyel served in software engineering, technical marketing engineering, and product marketing roles at Cisco for 14 years. Donyel holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers. On a personal note, Donyel strives to build a culture that emphasizes both personal and professional accomplishments. Donyel believes that excelling at work and career should bring joy and fulfillment, making work success an integral part of life success. He actively works to embody success for his team members, acting as a mentor, creative sounding board, and roadblock remover. In his free time, Donyel volunteers for the V Foundation (a leading global cancer research fundraising organization) and races motorcycles in the American Federation of Motorcyclists.
