Carlos Gonzalez has been with Cisco for 25 years. Starting in 1996 – fresh out of college - into our Customer Advocacy organization. After several years, he moved onto Solution Architecture, Engineering and QA organizations. He joined the leadership and management ranks as he led teams in delivering a multitude of Cisco Validated Designs for Service Provider solutions.
Carlos became a core member of the Cisco-Ericsson Strategic Alliance organization and led multiple architectural workstreams while managing the Architects/TME alliance team. He transitioned into the Service Provider Business Development and Commercial Planning organization as a Sr. Solutions Architect / Business Dev Lead focused on incremental revenue and competitive. This opened the door to Competitive intelligence roles in the Global Service Provider and Internet of Things (IOT) spaces.
Currently Carlos spends his days in what he refers to as “the best job ever” - IOT Technical Marketing Engineer. He focuses on Industrial Ethernet rack-mounted product lines and the Utilities space.
