Bhaskar Jayakrishnan is Vice President of Engineering for the Cisco Compute & Storage portfolio. In this role, Bhaskar leads the software and customer operations teams who are responsible for engineering delivery and continued innovation for a vast portfolio of on-premises compute and cloud-delivered products including Unified Computing System (UCS), HyperFlex and Intersight. Bhaskar has been an integral part of the UCS business since its introduction, leading engineering teams across multiple geographies and playing key roles in ramping the business to the multi-billion-dollar business it is today. He is also the visionary behind the development of Intersight, the SaaS-delivered hybrid cloud operations platform for managing a full stack of assets at the infrastructure, workload, cloud, and application layers. Prior to joining Cisco in 2009, Bhaskar held several technical and engineering leadership roles at companies including Greenfield Networks (acquired by Cisco), Intel, and Hughes Software Systems. Bhaskar has a Master's in Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India and a Bachelor of Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India. Bhakar is a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two daughters.
