Rohit Shrivastava is a seasoned product management strategist and general manager with over twenty one years of diverse industry experience in telecommunication/networking, Analytics, hosted & cloud based software, services and solutions.
Rohit led Cisco’s Analytics BU and drives strategy, product management, engineering, business development and cross-Cisco collaboration to deliver Cisco's "Connected Analytics for Internet of Everything" software and solutions portfolio across Enterprise, Service Provider and IoE/IoT areas. In addition, as the leader of advanced services platform and IoE solutions product management groups, he was responsible for driving strategy and roadmaps for a hosted smart services platform for Cisco’s advanced services as well as support/operate service offerings for Cisco’s IoE/IoT Solution portfolio (enabling a ~3Bn P&L).
Rohit conceived network-enriched business analytics strategy for Cisco and incubated unique analytics offers across Wireless, Location, Video, Contact Center, Collaboration, Event/Hospitality and Retail areas that combine network/App and external business data to deliver differentiated business insights. Rohit also steered strategy and execution for Cisco services big-data and analytics platform for delivering network and business analytics applications.
As a Cisco veteran of 14 years, Rohit brings extensive experience leading product management and engineering teams at Cisco in the areas of Hosted Smart Services Platform, IOS Software and Applications, OS Infrastructure and Routing/Switching Platforms. As the product management leader in Cisco's Network Software and Systems group, he influenced product and software execution of a thousand persons engineering organization and led multiple c ross-Cisco initiatives including Cisco’s embedded IOS Software Strategy, Next-Gen IOS Infrastructure, IOS Programmability, Software Licensing and Network Services.
Prior to Cisco, Rohit spent several years in technical leadership and engineering management positions at Trillium (An Intel Company) and Hughes leading large engineering efforts in Wireless & Mobile Satellite communication, Call Control and real-time embedded software arena.
Rohit holds an MBA from UCLA and BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
