Bryan Tantzen, a Senior Director at Cisco Systems, leads the Manufacturing Vertical for the Internet of Things Technology Group. In this role, Bryan drives manufacturing industry solution development, lighthouse customer engagements and strategic partnerships to help innovative manufacturers transform their businesses and meet business requirements ranging from increased factory automation to big data. Mr. Tantzen has been with Cisco for 10 years and previously led Collaboration Market Development and the Customer Business Transformation (CBT) team. Bryan’s team helped hundreds of the world’s leading companies drive increased revenues and cost takeout using collaboration technologies. In Cisco’s Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG), he led business transformation focused engagements in the High Technology, Semiconductor, and Contract Manufacturing industries. Prior to Cisco, Bryan worked at McKinsey & Company, and he was also Vice President of the High Tech Business Unit for i2 Technologies (providing Supply Chain Management and Factory Planning enterprise software) where he led global deployments, consulting, and solutions. At McKinsey & Company, Mr. Tantzen worked with industrial clients on strategy, process improvement, and growth initiatives. Mr. Tantzen holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in International Affairs from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Economics from Texas A&M University. He is fluent in Japanese and has worked in France, Germany, Korea, Japan, and Mexico in addition to the United States.
