You’ve read the announcement of last week’s Cisco launch that introduced the new Cisco Aironet 2800 and Aironet 3800 Access Points. Now you’re able to listen to the Cisco access point product managers talk about their products on the recently recorded “No Strings Attached Show – Networking Without Strings” podcast.

Aironet 2800 Access Point Product Manager Brian Levin and Aironet 3800 Access Point (AP) Product Manager Mark Denny sit down with No String Attached Show hosts Blake Krone and Samuel Clements to discuss their products in the first of a two-part series dedicated to the APs. Denny and Levin devote the majority of the broadcast talking about the features of their products and provide a look into both the hardware and software through the eyes of the experts.

Designed with an eye towards the upcoming 802.11ac Wave 2 standard, the product managers get into specifics about industry trends and why organizations should want to update their networks to adhere to these guidelines.

“[With these products] We’ve really focused in on 80211.ac Wave 2 but it’s really only the tip of the iceberg,” Denny said, “With the new Multiuser MIMO devices ready today, we expect a full and busy year of Wave 2 devices coming out from all the main players on the client side.”

Part two of the series will focus on a further discussion about the access point and how the 802.11ac Wave 2 standard will further impact the industry. Levin and Denny will explain how the Cisco Aironet 2800 and Aironet 3800 Access Points take advantage of the Wave 2 standard by improving network flexibility and bringing faster connectivity to your organization.
