Cisco DevNet enables developers to use APIs to code and program their infrastructure, and that is quite powerful. Cisco ACI, with its pervasive DevNet presence, has been designed with programmability in mind and its object model allows complete programmatic access and enables customers to integrate network deployment into management and monitoring tools and deploy new workloads programmatically. Cisco Live 2019, San Diego, is just a week away and this year we have a very strong presence with 200+ sold-out breakout sessions on diverse topics and numerous live demos and workshops, labs and panels, throughout the week of June 10-14.

2019 has been a remarkable year for Cisco ACI-DevNet and we offered a super-hit “ACI Takeover” session in Cisco Live Barcelona, followed by Cisco Live Melbourne. By popular demand, we are going for the hat-trick at Cisco Live 2019 in San Diego next week with grand plans for yet another ACI Takeover session. Seats are filling up fast, so look up the DevNet sessions catalog to register for this Takeover session to get a ringside view.

ACI Takeover in DevNet Zone

The ACI ‘Takeover session’ is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 10:00 AM local time. In this session you will get to hear Cisco Data Center Marketing VP, DD Dasgupta and DevNet Senior Director of Developer Experience, Amanda Whaley give their intro speech about how Cisco ACI open API approach has helped customers deploy our Data Center technologies across diverse use-cases and as a pre-integrated solution jointly with our technology ecosystem partners.

Following the intro speech, Srinivas Kotamraju, Senior Director, Cisco Data Center Networking Business Unit, will deliver the breakout session (DEVNET 1216) on topic “ACI Anywhere” in the DevNet theater. In this session, you will learn how ACI Anywhere can help you deploy scalable multi-cloud networks with a consistent policy model. Also, Srini will discuss the vision and core components necessary for enabling ACI Anywhere and how Customers can realize the advantages of multi-cloud architectures by seamlessly extending ACI Anywhere. Any app, Any cloud.

Following Srini’s ACI multi-cloud networking breakout at the DevNet theater, you’ll get a chance to network with our architects and technologists at the demo pods. The takeover also features a tech challenge, where you get to crack tech puzzles and get a chance at winning cool Bose headsets and Apple iPads. A full hour of T-shirt giveaways, great food and drinks and fun awaits you. Be sure to reserve this slot in your calendar for Tuesday, you won’t want to miss it.
The Takeover session is just the tip of the iceberg. There are several other ACI activities that can keep the developers engrossed. Susie Wee, SVP & CTO DevNet, is delivering an innovation session in DevNet Theater, June 10, 2:30 PM, local time. Susie will speak about how in a cloud-driven, mobile-first, data-intensive world, the coupling between applications and the network is more important than ever.

And that’s not all. Specifically, Cisco Data Center Networking & Analytics technologies feature in 24+ DevNet sessions/Labs/workshops. The ACI menu includes:

There are also hands-on and live demos featuring ACI in the DevNet zone. If you really are looking to get your feet wet with ACI, I’d encourage you to attend the session “Start Now: Cisco ACI Programmability, Tasks & the Tools. (DEVNET-1236)” June 10, 9 AM local time.
