Cisco UCS and HyperFlex are fully programmable infrastructure. The UCS Management Sandbox provides a safe environment for IT administrators, DevOps teams, and application developers to learn about and test the power of UCS for automating your data center.
Cisco UCS – Programmable Infrastructure
Programmable infrastructure is the concept of applying methods and tooling established in software development onto the management of IT infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to: automation, versioning, APIs, immutability and agile techniques. (programmableinfrastructure.com)
Cisco UCS was designed from the beginning to be fully programmable. It is infrastructure as code that features a unified API. The API allows the UCS and Cisco HyperFlex hyperconverged infrastructure to be integrated into higher-level, data- center-wide management systems as a single, logical entity. Server, network, and storage resources are given a personality, provisioned, and configured on demand by applying a service profile to them.
The Cisco DevNet team has developed Sandboxes to help you leverage and master the UCS Management tools that will empower your data center to be efficient, reliable and agile. John McDonough from DevNet has developed this video to introduce you to the UCS Management Sandboxes available for your use, even if you’re not a Cisco customer.
