Sean Caragata

Sean Caragata leads Cisco’s global Industrial and Infrastructure practice. In this role, he is responsible for identifying industry trends and use cases, and developing Go-to-Market strategy, messaging, and growth. He leads a team of industry experts working with Cisco’s transportation, manufacturing, utility, energy, and mining customers around the world to establish business case, solutions, and technology investment strategies to deliver business outcomes for their customers, employees, and stakeholders. Sean has over 25 years of experience leading and building teams focused on a variety of industries, including healthcare, smart buildings, smart cities, transportation, and telecom. Prior to his current role, he led Cisco’s smart buildings practice for healthcare and education, partner strategy for retail, financial services, smart buildings, and sports, media, and entertainment, and led business development for a Cisco engineering co-development center working with Cisco customers and partners on digital healthcare innovation. He has worked with customers and global teams all over the world. From 2005-2009, he was based in London, England, leading Cisco’s legal services in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. He began his career working in law and the public sector. Sean holds a JD from the University of Saskatchewan and a BA in Political Science from the University of Regina. He and his family live in Toronto, Ontario. In his spare time, Sean is active in food security, homelessness, and theatre initiatives.
