Mr. McAbel is currently managing the VDI, Microsoft, and Oracle solutions across Cisco’s Compute infrastructure offerings. His responsibilities cover a wide range of areas including charting solution roadmaps, determining benchmark and proof point focus, providing sales and customer education, leading outbound marketing efforts and being the primary subject matter expert. Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. McAbel held a similar position with IBM for their System x server product line, and before that managed the operating system product requirements for Sequent Computer Systems, Inc. He holds an MBA from the University of Oregon and a BS in Business from Oregon State University.
