Raj Patel is the Vice President of Cloud Services in the Cloud Collaboration Applications Technology Group (CCATG). Patel is responsible for managing all technical aspects of Cisco’s Collaboration Cloud supporting Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings such as Webex Meetings, Social, Jabber, IM/Presence and Video. Cloud Services organization is also developing a robust delivery platform and associated Iaas & PaaS foundational technologies in a web scale approach. 

Prior to Cisco, Patel was the Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations Strategy for Yahoo! where he was responsible for architecture, strategy, and operations for Yahoo's production and corporate technology infrastructure. Under his direction, Yahoo!’s technology infrastructure scaled to support hundreds of millions of users and corporate applications with a highly available, high-performance network optimized for content and application distribution. He was also instrumental in defining Yahoo!’s data center and content delivery network strategies. 

Patel’s current passions include building business critical real time SaaS applications for global scale and perfecting the DevOps approach to Software development and delivery.

Previously, Patel was Vice President of Network Systems and Storage engineering at Yahoo!, Vice President of network services for Exodus Communications, and general manager for advanced technology operations at SBC Communications. Patel holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State University.
