eWeek Honors Cisco CleanAir with Analyst’s Choice Award

August 18, 2010 - 0 Comments

Cisco CleanAir continues to win fans since its introduction at Interop Las Vegas this past April, where it won the prestigious Best of Interop Award. And now, CleanAir adds to its trophy case, recently being honored by eWeek with its “Analyst’s Choice” award. In his product review article titled, “Cisco’s CleanAir Spectrum Analysis Offers Outstanding RF Visibility,” eWeek editor Andrew Garcia gives CleanAir a solid thumbs-up, writing, “For providing a distinct and premium solution in an increasingly commoditized marketplace trending toward lower prices and similar feature sets, Cisco and CleanAir earn eWEEK’s Analyst’s Choice.”

The value of Cisco CleanAir is to protect the performance of 802.11n, and with a unique, industry-first ability to detect and visually identify RF interference from devices such as microwave ovens, wireless cameras, cordless phones and nearby wireless networks, CleanAir can identify the source of the interference and provide automatic adjustments to optimize wireless coverage. After performing a thorough testing process, Garcia concurs, stating CleanAir “provides outstanding RF visibility combined with reporting, tracking and assessment tools that help wireless administrators build stable wireless networks ready to host mission-critical systems and applications.”

Andrew continues to sing the praises of Cisco CleanAir in his thorough product review, describing the differentiation points that sets it apart from the crowd: “With many wireless LAN vendors now touting spectrum analysis detection features, Cisco stands alone as the only vendor providing that capability via integrated, purpose-built hardware.”
