Almost always the best uses of video make intuitive sense. Break Down the Walls applauds the State Department for a pilot program looking to use video teleconferencing (VTC) to speed up international travel visa applications.

Many large countries like China and India have too few consular offices to process visa applications. Visitors can’t travel the long distance to the offices so they can’t travel here, costing the U.S. lost tax revenue and diversity. Using VTC is good for the bottom line, and it gives visitors an efficient and high tech first impression of our country.
