From CES to MWC

January 18, 2012 - 0 Comments

On my flight home Friday after a full week at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), I was reflecting on how mobility is more important than ever before. This comes as no surprise considering the success of consumer devices and our need to be mobile in our day-to-day lives. Now, the real opportunity is how we bring mobility, video and cloud together to create the next generation internet.

At CES, Cisco showed up strong, sharing with customers, the analyst community and the media how we’re making the internet more visual by leveraging the power of video.  As I talked with our customers from around the world, they all expressed their eagerness to expand their use of mobile broadband to enhance the customer experience.

As all eyes turn from Las Vegas to Barcelona, the site of Mobile World Congress 2012, Cisco is broadening the conversation beyond the traditional network architectures to create a next generation internet that is not only more visual, but one that is more mobile, more virtual and more simple.

By converging  innovative small cell solutions with our intelligent network and the efficiencies of cloud computing, we’re enabling the three things mobile operators care about most: reduced costs, increased revenues and an improved user experience.
