Cisco Announces Winners of $10,000 Cisco TV Contest

July 27, 2010 - 0 Comments

Yesterday Cisco announced the winners of its “What if Your TV Could…” contest live via a special live Talk2Cisco broadcast via Ustream.tv. If you weren’t able to watch the live broadcast, we pulled out a few of the highlights:

  • 2:03-5:03 Murali Nemani talks about the future of video
  • 5:03-5:42 Winners of (3) USD$500 Amazon Gift Cards for most viewed announced
  • 6:15-8:48 Winner of $10,000 announced
  • 9:40-12:58 Interview with winners via phone

With this contest, our intent was to build a community for everyone to share their voice on what the future of television should look like. Cisco’s Murali Nemani offered some insight on Cisco’s role in developing the next-generation television experience, and he announced the winners of the $10,000 grand prize. Congratulations to the brother team of Nick and Zack, who produced and starred in the winning video titled “Best Friend”.

Well deserved gentleman! I think they just might spend the prize money in one place – as they mentioned they are Communications majors in college and this will certainly help offset tuition expenses! Click here for the short broadcast replay.

In addition, we revealed the three winners of the $500 Amazon.com gift cards for the “Top Viewed” videos. These winners were based solely on the number of views they had and were chosen by the viewers. You can view the following videos at www.ciscocontest.com
