Oooooo… new Cisco.com menus

- April 2, 2010 - 4 Comments

Last night, we made some subtle changes to the Cisco.com home page, including some brand new drop-down menus from that bar at the top.  These new menus have links to a broader range of things, and during our extensive testing you’ve told us they’re easier to read and understand:

Before: Products

After: Products for Your Home

After: Products for Small Business

After: Products for Enterprises and Service Providers

Before: Support

After: Support

Thanks to all of you who helped in testing and in giving input on these new menus, and please continue to send comments and suggestions.

And enjoy!

  1. A positive improvement than before. The main benefit I find is now the majority (if not all) of relevent sections are within one page. In other words, less clicks to reach your final destination and also it is more easy on the eye (ie. the color combination used). Also, this makes it more user-friendly to read and/or skim read. In addition, the sections/categories are neatly and professionally spaced out, and not cramed like some sites are. Cannot find anything to criticize. Hope this helps.

  2. Nice updates. Will make life easier for everyone. Thanks for updates.

  3. These are some great changes. The site is much easier to read and navigate now.

  4. The greater use of icons and images, with categorizations allowing less itens on each level makes these menus far more intuitive to navigate, congratulations.
